)-- Technology makes it possible that people will shop via mobile phones and tablets soon according to UK electronics store Mixwall.
With the increasing popularity of PCs, a majority of entrepreneurs turned their horizon to online shopping, e-commerce. And the number of people in the EU who use online shopping to buy articles and services has doubled over the last five years, according to a study commissioned by the European Parliament.
According to Rachael Hayes, Public Relations manager for UK tech gadgets site Mixwall, cell phones are bound to be the next intermediary that people will use for online shopping since mobile phones are superior to computers in view of the owning rate.
“It is undeniable that e-commerce has got its foothold in and occupied a bigger and bigger part of the market. More and more brick and mortar stores are setting up or shifting to online shops,” said Mrs. Hayes. “However, if mobile commerce emerges, the result is evident. Compared with computers, cell phones and tablets are more common, which will no doubt lead to the birth of m-commerce. What’s more, people have already used iPhone and iPad to shop online. But there is still a long way to go for other mobile phones and tablet PCs.”
Mrs. Hayes said Mixwall would also launch its official mobile commerce outlet one day.
“As it’s an inevitable trend, Mixwall will keep up with it. Whoever understands the times is a great man, so does a company,” said Mrs. Hayes.
