Hind parts of all kinds will be wagging at the Toledo Area Humane Society’s 2011 Fur Ball, presented by Buckeye TeleSystem.
This year’s event, Shake Your Tail at the Tail End of Summer, will take place on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at The Stone Oak Country Club in Holland, OH. Musical guest Dal Bouey will provide the soundtrack to an evening of tasty temptations, an exciting silent auction, and several unexpected surprises.
“As presenting sponsor, we hope to drive awareness of this great organization and help them raise the funds they need to meet to fulfill their mission,” said Mike Davis, Director of Customer Operations, Buckeye eleSystem.

John Robinson Block, Vice Chairman of Block Communications, Buckeye TeleSystem’s parent company, has been chosen as the TAHS’ 2011 Honorary Chairman as a result of his community leadership and its impact on the humane treatment of animals.
Now in its 23rd year, the Toledo Area Humane Society’s Annual Fur Ball raises an average of $75,000 a year to support their programs and initiatives. Every year, the TAHS provides care, food and shelter for nearly 6,000 animals and responds to more than 2,000 cruelty calls. Not only does the TAHS help animals find permanent homes, they also help reduce pet overpopulation through spay and neuter programs, provide educational, behavior instruction, and a food assistance programs, and more.
