Vermont Woods Studios Provides Drop Off Location for Load The Latchis Project

Local Vermont furniture company leads Vernon’s efforts to Load The Latchis

Vernon, VT, September 14, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Vermont Woods Studios Furniture is pleased to support the Load The Latchis project, a relief effort launched by Peter Case (Fish in the Morning) of WKVT. Vernon residents wanting to join in this initiative are encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items at the Vermont Woods Studios showroom located at 2531 Fort Bridgeman Road (next to the Vernon post office). Donations will be distributed throughout Windham County to the areas hardest hit by Irene and to those who need it most.

Hurricane Irene brought some of the worst destruction Vermont has ever seen. Nearly 300 roads were washed out leaving many towns isolated and without food, water or power. In the two weeks that have followed Vermonters and good samaritans from around the region have worked tirelessly to rebuild and restore the area but much work remains to be done. Hundreds of Vermont families remain in desperate need of assistance.
