Tube Coupon Launches "Video Coupon" Website

Los Angeles, CA, September 14, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Los Angeles based video coupon website, Tube Coupon (URL: “www.tubecoupon.com”) launches its beta site today offering consumers an upfront personal view of Los Angeles merchants in a short one to four minute video, combined with coupons that offer discounts for locally based goods or services.

In the videos the merchants talk to their current and future customers, and describe the special qualities of their store or service interwoven with images of store life. The printable coupons offer discounts on the various item listed on the merchant’s page that includes a short video and a store description.

Tube Coupon’s production team produces the videos in house and then streams the short videos with an attached coupon on the Tubecoupon.com website. The production shoots take approximately one hour from start to finish at the merchant’s place of business.

The newly launched site offers an array of merchants from the Los Angeles area. There is currently no cost to the merchant to be pictured in a Tube Coupon video, or have their coupon placed on the site. Advertising plays before the video, or is embedded in the video. After the coupon has expired, consumers will be able to preview the business by accessing the video on the Tube Coupon.com website.

After watching a video of the business, Tube Coupon users can print out a coupon and then redeem at the participating merchants. Many listed merchants are new businesses while others are well established in the Los Angeles area. Currently there are various merchants listed with attached coupons, including Beverly Hills Cleaners, Ballard’s Framing, La Luz De Jesus Gallery, Big Kid Toy Store, Carter Sexton Art Supply, and other Los Angeles based stores.

On the Tube Coupon Site, users can register and receive weekly updates on the various offerings. There is no cost or upfront payment to the user for access to the coupons listed on the Tube Coupon site.

Founder Oliver Robins, says, “Our goal is to give unprecedented exposure to Los Angeles ‘mom and pop’ shops, and there’s no better way to achieve that goal then with a short video on the merchant and their business.”

Robins is a writer and director and graduate of USC School of Cinematic Arts. He starred in “Poltergeist,” and the sequel, in the character role of Robbie, and other films and television.
