Local Superior Court Judge Presided Over Ceremony with Graduates Who Passed July Bar Exam

Raleigh, NC, September 15, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Melissa Essary, dean of the Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law (http://law.campbell.edu), has announced that 61 members of the graduating class of 2011 took part in a swearing-in ceremony on Sept. 9 at Campbell Law School at 225 Hillsborough St. The Honorable Paul C. Ridgeway, Wake County Superior Court Judge and member of the Campbell Law class of 1986, presided over the ceremony and led the swearing in of attendees.

Each graduate took the following Oath of Office as an Attorney at Law to support the Constitution of the United States:

I, ____, do solemnly swear that I will support the Constitution of the United States; so help me God.

I, ____, do solemnly and sincerely swear that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to the State of North Carolina and to the Constitutional powers and authorities which are or may be established for the government thereof; and that I will endeavor to support, maintain and defend the Constitution of said state, not inconsistent with the Constitution of the United States, to the best of my knowledge and ability; so help me God.

I, ____, do swear that I will truly and honestly demean myself in the practice of an Attorney, according to the best of my knowledge and ability, so help me God.
