International Folk Festival Launches in Downtown Fayetteville, NC

Fayetteville, N.C. attracts regional visitors to the Annual International Folk Festival, Parade of Nations on September 23rd. The event is hosted by the Art Council with many vendors and organizations displaying cultural diversity.

Fayetteville, NC, September 27, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The annual International Folk Festival is a multicultural experience hosted by The Arts Council in downtown Fayetteville, NC. The event kickoff began Friday, September 23rd at 7 p.m. with the infamous, Parade of Nations. This event displays diversity within the community along Hay Street and ending on Ray Ave.

Each year, Groups or organizations represent their country's culture in this parade to many regional visitors and locals. Most notable country's performance in this year's parade included South Korea, Japan, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and many more viewable in their video. The International Folk Festival is a weekend event, September 23 - 25th. Saturday and Sunday hosts an afternoon of cuisine, crafts, kids events, and performances on multiple stages.
