Boston, MA, September 29, 2011 --(PR.com)-- MedEdu, LLC (www.easyauscultation.com) has expanded its online blood pressure training materials by adding a collection of 10 case studies. These cases include both hypertension and hypotension conditions in adults. Access to these materials is free.

Each case study includes use of a blood pressure simulator as well as heart and lung sounds (where appropriate) as part of the virtual patient exam. Users can operate a virtual blood pressure cuff, listen to Korotkoff sounds and view a mercury or aneroid sphygmomanometer. After completing the virtual exam, the user can take a quiz concerning diagnosis and treatment recommendations.

Also available in the blood pressure training web site are case studies and drills for assessing blood pressure in children. The drills use a sphygmomanometer simulator and also require using the NIH’s blood pressure guidelines.

In addition to the blood pressure learning center, the easy auscultation web site (www.easyauscultation.com) offers a comprehensive set of auscultation lessons and a heart and lung sounds reference guide.
