Mobile Audio Guide Toozla is Now Available in Arabic

On September 22, producer of GPS mobile audio guides, Toozla added the Arabic language to its system. With Arabic articles, the Toozla infosphere has increased by 5,400 stories.

Moscow, Russia, October 06, 2011 --(PR.com)-- According to various estimates, Arabic is the fourth - sixth place language in the world in terms of number of countries where it is spoken. This is the official language of twenty-three countries. Arabic is an international language and it is widely understood by more than a billion people from Morocco to Bangladesh, Malaysia and Indonesia and from Turkey to Yemen. There are 200 million Arabic-speakers in the world.

Arabic language is nowadays considered native to over 200 million people, representing about 3% of world population. This puts it on par with the most widespread languages of the world (after Chinese, English, Hindi and Spanish).

As for the market of mobile applications, Arabic-language applications are very limited, despite the fact, that there is a large number of people for whom Arabic is their native language.

Given these factors, on September 22 the Arabic language was added to the multilingual Toozla service. Toozla works under the development of mobile GPS audio guides for various mobile platforms. In addition to professional guides there are guides based on the geo-referenced articles from Wikipedia in the Toozla infosphere. After adding the Arabic language into the service, Toozla has the opportunity to include Arabic articles from Wikipedia into its guides. As a result Toozla travel guides were supplemented with 5400 stories in Arabic in different cities and countries.
