The workshop is free and open to Long Beach residents. Light appetizers, desserts and beverages will be provided. The public is encouraged to register before October 7th by calling 562-633-4400, or RSVP online at: http://www.solarexpert.com/solar101/solar101.html.

Councilwoman Schipske sponsors the 5th District Solar and Sustainability Taskforce which will host the Third Annual Solar Grand Prix and Sustainability Fair at El Dorado Park on April 21, 2012. The Solar Grand Prix challenges middle and high school students to create a scale model vehicle powered by the sun.
