Sratford-upon-avon, United Kingdom, October 08, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The first Annual Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership Conference will be held on Friday October 14th, at the Ricoh Arena. The LEP was created by the Coalition Government, designed to promote business and job growth in their specified regions. The Coventry and Warwickshire LEP have been quick to get organized and are already getting initiatives underway to drive growth in their region. In its first year the CWLEP has been noted as having made brilliant strides towards strengthening the local economy. With a board and chair appointed to represent county businesses and the public sector, it’s a private-public partnership designed to replenish the local economy.

The conference is an opportunity for the Minister of State for Business & Enterprise, MPs and LEP Board members to meet with local businesses and get their feedback and ideas. LEP Chairman Denys Shortt, Chief Executive of Stratford-based DCS Europe, wants businesses not currently involved in the organisation to have their say to ensure they can shape the economy of the area. "Our LEP is business-led and its whole reason for existing is to break down the barriers to growth and to grow the economy for the benefit of the area.”
