Planning Underway for Tennessee’s Human Rights Day Celebration

The planning for Tennessee’s Human Rights Day celebration has begun.

Nashville, TN, October 08, 2011 --(PR.com)-- A committee composed of the Tennessee Human Rights Commission, Metro Human Relations Commission, Church of Scientology, My Global Voice, the United Nations Association and the Tennessee AFL-CIO Labor Council has begun meeting bi-weekly in preparation of the activities set for December 7th from 4:30-6pm this year.

“We are still looking for a venue,” says Chair of the Committee, Rev. Brian Fesler, who also pastors the church of Scientology.

The committee has nominated several key Nashvillians to speak and to accept the annual Human Rights Advocate Award. Among those nominated to speak at the event include civil and immigrant rights activist, Avi Poster, and Rev. Neely Williams who is active in helping victims of trafficking.
