Gotham Rocks presents two national headliners on October 12: FUEL at Mulcahy's on Long Island, alongside Ozzy Osbourne's guitarist Gus G's irewind with Arsis at NYC's Gramercy Theatre. Fuel Support Opportunity to be Awarded Via ReverbNation Contest.

New York, NY, October 08, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Promoters Mike Sankari and Cary Tamura have announced plans to continue presenting Gotham Rocks branded shows combining national attractions alongside local artists. On October 12, the duo present Fuel at Mulcahy’s in Wantagh, NY on Long Island, simultaneous to staging Firewind, Arsis, White Wizzard, and Nightrage at the Gramercy Theatre the same evening. Following a sold-out third anniversary show at Irving Plaza earlier this summer, multiple successful events at the Highline Ballroom and Gramercy Theater, and hundreds of branded evenings in clubs across the five boroughs, the company has officially entered the national booking scene. As they continue to expand the brand, the model of combining national headliners, alongside local, unsigned bands the duo has nurtured through the Gotham Rocks and No Mercy Metal events, will be the recipe for success.

Long-time partner ReverbNation has been enlisted to host a contest that will deliver the opportunity for a rising act to open for Fuel at Mulcahy’s. Alongside Pale and regional attractions A Shooting Script, Born of Scars and Bulletproof Messenger, the winner will be selected to appear alongside the other support acts on the bill.

The impresarios behind Tech-9 Music Mike Sankari and Cary Tamura have a lot to celebrate these days. Presenting a bill featuring seven exclusively unsigned, local rock acts, and selling out Irving Plaza in the process on July 21, 2011, made it clear that the community they have nurtured is a force to be reckoned with. Staged as a celebration of the company’s third Anniversary, and sponsored by ReverbNation and MusicSubmit.com, 1,111 fans were in the house. Subsequently, the company presented Kittie at the Highline Ballroom, and alongside multiple local bills, they will be presenting on October 12.

Over the past three years, Tech-9 Music has staged well over a hundred shows under the branded monikers Gotham Rocks and No Mercy Metal. In 2011, Tech-9 Music founders Cary Tamura and Mike Sankari will present well over 50 in New York City, New Jersey and Long Island, working with well over a hundred bands. Their efforts in filling the void of a rock/metal scene for the region has delivered event destinations for tens of thousands of music fans, and the company continues to nurture a community that has grown into the tens of thousands.
