Austin, TX, October 12, 2011 --(PR.com)-- South Austin’s Baker St. Pub & Grill (3003 South Lamar Blvd.) will host a free Howl-O-Ween costume contest on Sunday, October 30 during its Barks & Brews happy hour.

Proceeds from the sale of Jekyll & Hyde and BOOcardi Punch cocktails will benefit Austin Pets Alive, a non-profit organization dedicated to making Austin a no-kill city.

To participate, owners must enter their dogs in the Howl-O-Ween costume contest by 3:30 p.m. at the pub. The pups will strut their stuff at 4 p.m. when guests at the British-themed pub will vote for Best Costume.

Plus, pups and their two-legged companions can also pose for a picture for posting on the “Bark of Fame” wall inside the pub.

Known for its shaded outdoor patio with ample seating, live music, and extensive menu of fresh soups and salads, sandwiches, burgers and traditional British pub favorites, Baker St. Pub & Grill is open daily from 11 a.m. – 2 a.m.
