Nashville Recording Artist Rachael Johnson Returns to Her Roots to Perform at Mt. Airy’s B52’s Bar & Grill

Nashville, TN, October 19, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Rachael Johnson performs a weekly show at Nashville’s world famous Wildhorse Saloon but on October 22 she will return to her home town of Mt. Airy, NC for a special appearance at B52’s Bar and Grill located on 972 North Andy Griffith Parkway.

Founded in 2006, Mount Airy’s own B52’s has brought great food and some of today’s biggest names in the Country Music industry.

A North Carolina native, Rachael Johnson grew up in the original “Mayberry”, a place memorialized in Americans hearts as the beloved home town on the Andy Griffith Show. Although she loved NC, her heart was in Nashville and it only took one Garth Brooks concert for Rachael to decide that that’s where she had to be. Within a month of earning her Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice at Chowan University, Rachael would land a job and relocate to an empty apartment not far from Nashville’s world famous Music Row and the beginning of living her dream.

Trying to figure out what to do next led her to Nashville’s local hot spots and a chance run in with Bigger Picture Artist, Craig Campbell. Johnson would hit it off with Campbell quickly finding herself as a regular sit in on Campbell’s gigs at The Stage on Broadway.

Over the next year Rachael would meet other artists, musicians and some of Nashville’s finest hit songwriters giving her the opportunity to assemble a band, perfect a show and hone her writing craft, expanding her catalog of original material. Music was finally paying the bills! She quit her day job and became an in demand solo artist, playing 20 to 25 shows a month in Nashville, surrounding cities and occasionally, out of state, sharing the stage with Country Stars like Josh Thompson, Little Texas, Dave Gibson, Chris Young, Craig Campbell and Trent Tomlinson to name a few.

She would begin to amass loyal fans frequenting her full band live shows and the respect of established songwriters by showcasing her own original songs at Nashville’s famed writer’s nights. In 2011, The Rachael Johnson Band had the distinctive honor of being named the weekly house band at Nashville’s world famous Wildhorse Saloon.

Rachael Johnson has been described as unique and unmistakable. In a town full of sound-a-likes, Rachael brings her own style sure to be emulated by Nashville’s future aspiring artists.

Showtime is at 10pm EST. $8 Cover Charge. B52’s Bar & Grill at 972 North Andy Griffith Parkway, Mt. Airy 27030.
