TheWholesaleForums.co.uk Reports Buyer Confidence is High for Web Merchants in 2011

Brentford, United Kingdom, October 22, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The confidence of buyers with web-based suppliers is paving the way for the continued growth of e-commerce this year, according to The Wholesale Forums, a leading online B2B networking community in the United Kingdom. The website has seen a 25% month-on-month increase in the number of wholesalers, drop shippers, and retailers participating in its forums and trade marketplace.

Since last year, e-commerce has been steadily increasing as the choice platform amongst customers, retailers, importers and product distributors with the web site as starting point for trade. Marketing Manager for The Wholesale Forums, Jon Borillo, said: “Suppliers selling products on the Internet have been using our forums to place their products in front of tens of thousands of buyers across the globe. They say that they’re happy to continue this interaction elsewhere. Buyers regard online-based business as the best way to gather the latest product offers because of its greater convenience and value. In addition, e-commerce web sites are available 24/7. They find the right business partners here.”

Borillo said that e-commerce is exploding globally. He cited a recent report from comScore, a leading US-based provider of digital platform effectiveness, on online spending in 2011. He said that retail e-commerce sales estimates for the second quarter of 2011 in the United States are up 14%, compared to last year. This growth rate represents the seventh consecutive quarter of positive growth year on year. Top- performing product categories were consumer electronics, computer hardware and software, each growing at 15% compared to the same quarter in 2010. In the United Kingdom, customer satisfaction with e-commerce vastly improved in 2 years.

This improvement is attributed to e-commerce web sites that feature live chat, e-mail and phone support for customers during business hours and even after office. Amazon.com, a popular US-based multinational e-commerce company, leads the rest of web sites with the highest customer satisfaction, both in the United States and the United Kingdom. EBay.com, another e-commerce organization, jumps to 3% growth this year. Brazil in South America has over 27 million users buying goods and services online, out of a population of 190 million.

Established in July 2004, The Wholesale Forums is considered the UK’s leading B2B networking and advice forum for international businesses that are working to enhance their e-commerce presence. “We are extremely delighted to fulfill our main objective of facilitating trade between buyers and suppliers. With over 95,000 members to date, The Wholesale Forums allows prospective buyers to maximize the benefits of our community site to receive product information more quickly than ever before. In addition, it enables them to source more profitably particularly from overseas supply markets like China, United Kingdom, and the rest of the world,” Borillo closed out by saying.
