Wyoming’s City of Cheyenne Goes Live on Innoprise Community Development Software

Broomfield, CO, October 22, 2011 --(PR.com)-- MS Govern today announced that the City of Cheyenne, WY, has deployed the remaining modules of Innoprise Community Development Suite by going live on Planning and Zoning and Code Enforcement modules. The City went live on Innoprise Permitting and Inspections and Occupational Licenses last year. The recent deployment marks the third Innoprise software suite that is deployed at the City. Cheyenne went live on Payroll in January 2011 and Financials in March 2009. The City has a population of 53,847 and provides a variety of services to its citizens.

The City explains that Cheyenne was ready to replace its legacy software that had been in place for 25 years in order to improve application functionality and customer support. “We did not have Planning & Zoning and Code Enforcement modules running on our previous system because the land file would not allow parcels and we could not enter by address,” explained Theresa Snyder, Director of Information Technology. Planning & Zoning allows the City to track projects as they move through the planning process, to the approval process and finally the completion. Code Enforcement tracks and records infractions. A case number is automatically assigned, and the case is then tracked until the party comes into compliance. “We have enhanced our Community Development services by deploying these two new modules,” said Synder.

“In the market place today, the public sector is being challenged to find a system capable of meeting both existing and future functional requirements with seamless integration between modules, an intuitive user interface design, a native Internet architecture, and the ability to generate reports using standard Microsoft™ Office products,” explained Snyder. “The Innoprise Suite of software provides us with the tools to improve departmental efficiency, reporting capabilities and customer service,” added Snyder.
