)-- Transit Systems, Inc., a longtime provider of long-distance shipping and moving services nationwide, has introduced a new Local Move service for home, business and storage locations. Utilizing a network of local movers around the country, TSI now offers immediate pricing and scheduling on moves up to 50 miles anywhere in the country.
“With over 18 years in the industry, we’ve developed strong business relationships with a variety of long-distance movers and freight carriers,” says TSI President Chris Smith.
“As a result, we add value in two ways. One, we offer discount pricing on shipping and moving services to consumers and small business. And two, we act as their advocate with the carriers to ensure they get efficient and cost effective service.
“Having developed this value added approach in the long distance market, we’re now able to do the same thing for people who need a Local Move.”
According to Smith, TSI invested a considerable amount of time and capital to develop a customer service structure, mover network, and what TSI calls its Quality Account Service model for Local Move service.
Key to the QAS model is the assignment of each move to a dedicated customer service agent who oversees the move from start to finish. The customer service agent creates a move summary, determines an exact price quote based on the specifics of the move and guaranteed hourly service rates, selects a mover, and documents the process.
“We handle thousands of moves and shipments every month so it’s critical to maintain consistency and communication,” Smith says. “That way we are able to quickly address any issues on behalf of customers and ensure successful completion of the job.”
