Non Profit Supports Local Children with Thriller Performance and Costume Contest, Fort Myers, FL
Non Profit fights obesity and provides locals with Halloween event with public performance.
Fort Myers, FL, October 25, 2011 --(PR.com)-- FUNdamental Fitness 4 Kidz (FF4K) is an organization that’s new to Fort Myers, but familiar with classics. They have scheduled performances of Thriller to promote their Asylum Haunted House, which supports their efforts with children obesity in the local community. The Asylum Haunted House started October 21st and continues each day until the 31st of October.
The mission of the Florida Non Profit organization, FF4K, is to improve the health of children and adults, alike. They empower parents, schools and their community by fighting obesity and strive to solve the problem for today’s generation of children so that they may have a healthy and fulfilling adulthood.
Childhood obesity is defined as a condition where a child’s body fat is more than the average child’s, and therefore their lifestyle and physical wellbeing is negatively affected. Diagnosis is established when a child’s BMI (Body Mass Index) measures 30 or greater. To assist and avoid children obesity altogether, FF4K offers nutrition consultation and education, prevention and awareness programs, complete dining facility, workout rooms and other health-orientated resources.
But handling children obesity can extend beyond just exercise and diet, and FF4K has proven that with their Halloween event, Asylum Haunted House. The event is for all ages, offering a "No Scare Zone" at 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, prior to the adult time at 7:00 pm -11:00 am (weekends until 12:00 am).
“It’s going to be great to see the performance of Thriller and get more involved with our community. The Costume Contest, as well. I’m hoping to see some unique and scary costumes,” Sonya Primus, PR Director of FUNdamental Fitness 4 Kidz.
Their Costume Contest is scheduled for October 28th and 29th, Kids at 6:00 pm and Adults at 9:00 pm.
