Appshen Looks for Darts Players to Turn to Virtual Reality

Lancaster, United Kingdom, October 27, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Darts players of all levels and abilities are being invited to star in the latest release from mobile phone game developers Appshen.

"Bar Darts" follows on from the critically acclaimed "Professional Darts Championship," and will focus on the fun elements of playing darts amongst friends in the relaxed atmosphere of your local hostelry.

Appshen's development team are currently working on the "Bar Darts" release and are looking for real and authentic darts players to make up the 16 virtual AI players which will provide the in-game opposition.

The darts world is famous for providing some of the quirkiest nicknames in the world of sport with "The Power," "Jackpot" and "The Machine" all household names. Appshen is looking for equally inspiring names to take up the mantle in "Bar Darts" and wants the darting public to be the stars of the game.

Appshen have already received several plenty of interest in the chance to star in the game with "Chunk," "Be Bad" and "Gnasher" some of the developers' favourites, but there's plenty of time for fellow darters to step up to the oche.

Darts players who think their darts nickname hits the bullseye and like the idea of being turned into a virtual player on one of the planet's biggest selling darts games can send Appshen their full darts moniker with a recent photo and Appshen will choose the best 16 names to star in the game as a permanent virtual player for others to go up against.

Speaking about the search for a star darts name, Appshen's CEO Graham Baines said: “We're huge fans of darts at Appshen and we believe that this has helped us produce one of the most realistic games on the market with 'Professional Darts Championship'. We hope to repeat that success with 'Bar Darts' and this competition is all about working with the darts community and involving them in the development of this game in a unique and exciting way.”

To enter the competition darts players can simply send Appshen their full name, darts nickname and a photograph of themselves to info@appshen.com. Closing date for entries is 5pm, Friday 28th October.

"Professional Darts Championship" is available on the iPhone and iPad and can be purchased from the iTunes store.

Appshen is a wholly owned brand of Moshen Limited, a next generation technology company working across the full spectrum of mobile, social and web-based platforms.
