Phoenix, AZ, October 27, 2011 --(PR.com
)-- "American voters deserve a respite from the double-speak coming out of Washington and along the campaign trail, especially on issues as important as illegal immigration and border security," said Sean McCaffrey, president of Ban Amnesty Now (www.BanAmnestyNow.com) and its parent company the Conservative Leadership Coalition.
"Campaigns have become complicated dances around the issues, when what voters really want is to be told the truth from Day One," said McCaffrey. "We don't want poll-tested answers; we want to know what candidates actually believe. It's the only way to gauge what our next president might do in office."
McCaffrey listed several questions to which voters deserve clear answers:
1) Does the candidate believe America's southern border (a) should, and (b) can, be secured?
2) Does the candidate pledge to oppose any and all attempts to grant amnesty to illegal aliens in the United States?
3) Does the candidate believe that tax dollars spent today on government welfare programs for illegal aliens would be better spent educating and putting back to work American citizens?
4) Does the candidate believe that too many Americans are killed each year by illegal aliens -- whether 1 or 9,000 or more -- and does he or she pledge to fight illegal immigration to protect American lives and sovereignty?
"These are basic questions the socialist left doesn't want answered," said McCaffrey. "The liberals don't want to acknowledge these problems exist, but we must. We must. And our candidates for president from all parties must be open, honest and direct about what they will do to enforce the laws, stop illegal immigration, and put America and Americans first."
