For Lasarenko, the remix creative process is very specific and completely different from his composing work. Lasarenko, worked with Matt Pendergast on this remix at Tonal studios in New York, re-recorded keyboard parts, often changing the chord progressions of the song to something completely different, while maintaining the key of the song so the artist’s vocal are pitched correctly. From there he creates new drum loops and adds an array of effects, EQ and compression.
