Electronic Solutions, Inc. Launches Bi-Directional BACnet & LonWorks BMS Bridges

Lafayette, CO, October 29, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Electronic Solutions, Inc. (ESI), North America’s leader in manufacturing of intelligent motor control for automated lifestyles, has been working closely with FieldServer Technologies, the leader in gateways for the Building Automation industry, to develop a comprehensive, easy-to-use solution that answers our customer's needs in communication. The ProtoCessor from FieldServer Technologies provided the BACnet, Modbus and LonWorks communications in one package, enabling ESI Remote Queryable (RQ) devices to seamlessly integrate into virtually any Building Management System (BMS).

The RQ Bridge BNet and the RQ Bridge LON allow for effective communication between BacNet and LonWorks BMS and ESI’s RQ motor control network, enabling complete control of RQ devices. The bi-directional communication empowers RQ motors and motor controls to become native points within the BMS. Both the BACnet and LonWorks bridges support Full Auto Discovery by finding all the RQ devices on the network and automatically configuring the BacNet or LonWorks devices.

“It is common in commercial specifications to require shades to tie into the BMS. Often the exact BMS in operation isn’t initially identified – these devices enable you to effectively tie into any BMS,” explained ESI’s John MacKenzie. “Incorporating the shades as a native point in the system is the goal and we are able to easily achieve this with these bridges.”

ESI’s RQ Bridge BNet and RQ Bridge LON products are now shipping. For more information, please visit ESI’s website, www.elec-solutions.com, or call Jere Gianola and John MacKenzie at 303-469-9322.
