San Francisco, CA, November 03, 2011 --(PR.com)-- (PRESS RELEASE) Byzero, Inc., creators of the Studio Pen, announced today it received the top prize for its Studio Basic drawing application in the Mobile Platform Challenge as part of the CTIA Enterprise and Applications™ 2011 Trade Show held at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California.

“We are excited to have received the top prize in the Mobile Platform Challenge at CTIA! It is more than just the prize for us. The feedback we received during the judging process will help improve our solution. In addition, it gets the word out" Jun Kim, CEO said, adding that winning the contest was a "validation."

Studio Basic offers a variety of use-case scenarios with different note types through simple and minimal interface design through connection with Studio Pen, a mobile digital stylus that offers a premium experience with a simple installation of an ultrasound receiver that follows a user’s hand movements providing a natural writing solution. Unlike other styluses, Byzero's Studio Pen uses palm rejection technology to avoid unwanted palm detection while writing and has multiple applications for education, business and home use.

Byzero’s booth at the CTIA Enterprise and Applications 2011 Exhibition was one of the busiest. Attendees were excited to see a demonstration of the features of abilities of the Company’s handwriting solution by having two artists on hand create a caricature of them. Over the 3 days of the show, the artists created over 550 unique caricatures of show attendees using the Studio Basic and Studio Pen stylus. These will be available for viewing on the Studio Basic Portrait Gallery on Byzero’s website. Both artists commented that even though they only had minimal time to become acquainted with Studio Basic and Studio Pen and its features; they found the device and app easy to use and adaptable to a variety of drawing styles. David Smith said “I usually only do a 100 caricatures in a weekend and was very worried how I was going to cope with the requirements of the tradeshow with a new device. Studio Basic and Studio Pen were very easy to use and intuitive. I am not sure how I will survive without them going forward. I wish I could use them on all my jobs.”
