Ameco Solar Designs “Green Roof” Solar Panels for Soka University Performing Arts Center

Long Beach, CA, November 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Local Long Beach Solar installation company Ameco Solar is proud to announce the complex Solar Electric System for Soka University Performing Arts Center, “Green Roof” project is complete. More than 268 SunPower solar panels and 79 Suntech solar panels were used on the project, which are on track to generate more than 180,000 KwH in 2011.

Designed to truly reflect the university's commitment to sustainability, the buildings were built to high LEED standards and feature both SunPower & Suntech Photovoltaic (solar) panels to generate the facility's ongoing electrical needs.

McCarthy Building Companies Inc. completed construction of Soka University of America’s new Performing Arts Center and Academic Building project in 2011. The new Performing Arts Center is designated to become a venue in South Orange County for concerts, theater productions, lectures and assemblies, enhancing Soka University’s role as a cultural center and community gathering place. Soka Performing Arts Center was dedicated on May 27th with the Commencement for the Class of 2011. The Soka Performing Arts Grand Opening was on September 17, 2011.
