British Open Pub Announces Extended Happy Hour, New Ladies’ Night on Saturdays

Scottsdale, AZ, November 11, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Ladies’ Night and extended happy hours are coming to the British Open Pub, beginning in November.

The British Open Pub, which was voted a Top 5 English Pub in Arizona in the Phoenix New Times “Best of Phoenix 2011” readers’ poll, is celebrating the fall season with a new specials and promotions.

“We are making Saturday night Ladies Night at British Open Pub,” said Gregg Troilo, owner of the British Open Pub. “We think the ladies of Arizona deserve a night of their own here at British Open Pub, and we want to show them a great time while they’re here.”

Each Saturday, from 8 p.m. to close, women can enjoy $4.50 Stoli vodkas in a variety of flavors, including vanilla, blueberry, strawberry, peach and chocolate raspberry.

The bar will also offer two martini specials each week for $5 each.

“We’ll be featuring two new martinis each week,” said Melissa French, manager of the British Open Pub. “With more than 400 different types of martinis on record, ladies are going to have a great time trying new ones each time they visit.

“They’re delicious,” French said. “They’re kind of a women’s-only drink, and that’s fine because they’re so good we wouldn’t want to share them with the guys anyway.”

Ladies Night will include $3 Wells.

Said Troilo: “We’re excited to be adding specials just for the ladies,” adding that the pub has new hours for Happy Hour (from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday) and seasonal food specials beginning in November.

“With the days growing shorter and a nip in the air, it just made sense,” Troilo said.

Happy Hour specials include new $3 well drafts on rotating taps, including Guinness, Smithwick’s Ale, Oak Creek Nut Brown Ale, Stella, Blue Moon, Sam Adams’ Octoberfest, Boddingtons Pub Ale, Strongbow Apple Cider, Bud Light and Lagunitas’ IPA, among others.

“We have a great lineup of drafts on tap that are all fall favorites,” French said, “And we’re always adding beers from around the world to our selection so people have new tastes to try each time they visit.”

New Happy Hour appetizer specials include $2 quesadillas and a variety of $3 appetizer baskets, including cheese ravioli, egg rolls, spinach and cheese ravioli, fried mushrooms, fried green beans, hot sausage links, Cajun sausage links, and, a bar favorite, tater tots with beer cheese and bacon crumbles.

Scottsdale’s British Open Pub, or the “BOP” as regulars call it, has something for everyone.

Whether it’s authentic English food like Bangers and Mash, traditional American comfort food, a massive selection of beers from around the world or simply a fun pub to watch the day’s biggest sporting events, the BOP is the spot for foodies and sports fans.
