NAPNAP Annual Conference Registration is Open

Cherry Hill, NJ, November 12, 2011 --(PR.com)-- NAPNAP is pleased to announce that conference registration is open for its annual premiere educational event, New Frontiers in Child Health, from March 28 - March 31st 2012 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, TX. “We expect over 1300 participants to attend, which may be one of the best attended conferences to date,” said NAPNAP President Cheri Barber, DNP, RN, CRNP. The conference will feature an exhibit hall with displays by leading healthcare and consumer products companies, as well as non-profit institutions.

NAPNAP will host a one day Childhood Obesity Pre-conference on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 in response to the nationwide epidemic and call for action by first lady Michelle Obama to address childhood obesity throughout our Nation.

A distinguished panel of speakers will share their knowledge and expertise including internationally known nursing leader and co-founder of the nurse practitioner movement Dr. Loretta Ford. Dr. Ford will reflect on her personal history and leadership in the development of the PNP role. NAPNAP will also honor Dr. Ford at a fundraising dinner on Thursday, March 29th and at a Student Reception on Friday, March 30, 2012.

Other high profile speakers expected to attend include nationally known Medical Epidemiologist Dr. William Atkinson from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Baylor College, Dr. Bryan Vartabedian and award winning actress, writer and professional speaker Sonia Manzano, also known as Maria on Sesame Street.
