Catalina Kitchen Studio Adds New Designer, Expands Into Northwest Indiana/Michigan Markets

Former Cabinet Company Designer Terri Roberts Joins Catalina Team

Crown Point, IN, November 12, 2011 --(PR.com)-- When clients ask Catalina Kitchen Studio owner Gulio Giometti “Who’s your new designer?” he can now proudly say, “Crown Point’s own Terri Roberts.”

Roberts, known for being an ace kitchen designer on staff for the last 10 years at The Cabinet Company (which closed its doors earlier this year) in Valparaiso, Ind., recently joined Giometti’s team at his full-service kitchen and bath design firm in Orland Park. Her expertise of the Northwest Indiana and Southwest Michigan markets allows Catalina Kitchen Studio to expand its reach into previously untapped areas for the firm like Valparaiso, Chesterton, Dyer, Crown Point, Beverly Shores, and Michigan City in Indiana and Harbor Country in Michigan.

“In the short time since we’ve joined forces, Terri has already helped increase sales and exposure in those areas,” said Giometti. “Terri brings a wealth of experience, a creative vision, and a fresh eye for new designs to our team. I have immense respect for her extensive design talent. Having her aboard greatly expands our repertoire. This is a case where the net value is 1 plus 1 equals more than 2. When you have a collaborative effort with someone as skilled as Terri, the result is more than the sum of its parts.”

Like Giometti, Roberts specializes in designing kitchens, baths, and other interiors that feature high-end Wood-Mode and Brookhaven cabinetry, two premiere lines offered at Catalina Kitchen Studio.

“There are no better makes of fine cabinetry than Brookhaven and Wood-Mode,” said Roberts. “They offer outstanding products, both with lifetime warranties, that are consistently the most recommended by designers and architects throughout the country. So collaborating with Gulio, who is an exclusive Wood-Mode and Brookhaven dealer, made perfect sense. And the transition has been seamless.”

Roberts is renowned for her unique style, perceptive vision, ability to harmonize even the most challenging living spaces, and dedicated approach to design. She has established a strong reputation for creating memorable kitchens, especially in beach homes and lakeside residences, and her work has been featured in Better Homes & Gardens, Kitchen & Baths magazine, and other publications.

“I don’t gravitate toward one particular theme, movement, or architectural style. I like to explore variety in my work. Every homeowner has different tastes, and everyone’s home is unique,” Roberts said. “Whether we choose a contemporary, traditional, or mixed approach, the important thing is to ensure that the design reflects the personality and preferences of the client.”

Giometti noted that Roberts closely oversees the successful installation of a homeowner’s chosen cabinetry and because Catalina Kitchen Studio is a full-service company, it can serve as the general contractor as well as the kitchen designer on any of its projects.

“This ensures greater quality control and ultimately leads to the highest levels of customer satisfaction,” Giometti said.

Giometti and Roberts are looking forward to several exciting events and opportunities in the near future at Catalina Kitchen Studio. Several new Wood-Mode and Brookhaven displays will be implemented in their showroom before the end of the year. Additionally, they plan on presenting informative kitchen design clinics both in their showroom as well as remote locations in the region in early 2012, spurred on by popular demand following Giometti’s kitchen design clinic series in late 2010, which was well-received. They’re also eagerly awaiting the rollout of many new Wood-Mode and Brookhaven door styles, wood species, and products over the next few months.

“This is a great time for our firm as well as our customers, who are directly benefitting from our expanded talents, territories, and opportunities,” said Giometti. “Now more than ever, whether you’re looking to remain in and enjoy the home you love or increase its resale value prior to a sale, it makes sense to improve the essential areas of your home that provide the greatest return on your investment—including the kitchen and bath.”
