Athletic Recruiting Company Gives Back on Veteran’s Day

Chicago, IL, November 13, 2011 --(PR.com)-- NCSA Athletic Recruiting, the nation’s premier recruiting network will honor one special student-athlete and their family member who has served in our Armed Forces by sending them on an all-expense paid trip to the US Army (San Antonio, TX) or Semper Fi (Phoenix, AZ) High School All-American Football Game and pay tribute to them during half-time.

NCSA will also be giving back to military families by giving their high-school student-athlete a copy of Chris Krause, NCSA CEO’s, book “Athlete’s Wanted: The Complete Game Plan for Maximizing Athletic Scholarship and Life Potential.”

“There are clear parallels between military training and the lessons that are learned in sports. Sacrifice, dedication and believing in something greater than ourselves are paramount to achieving goals, whether you are winning a championship or coming home safely from a deployment,” said Bob Chmiel, former Notre Dame coach, NCSA Speaker and Sargent in the Infantry. “One of my favorite quotes comes from General George C. Marshall during WW II, “I want an officer for a secret and dangerous mission. I want a West Point football player.”

On this Veterans Day, NCSA is proud to show its appreciation to our men and women in uniform.

To be considered for the trip to the US Army or Semper Fi High School All-American game, you must write a 500 word (max) essay on “Commitment to a Team” and provide what branch of the military your family member has or currently serves on. If you are interested in redeeming a copy of the book, “Athlete’s Wanted,” they ask that you email Tiffany Menzione at tmenzione@ncsasports.org and show proof of a military ID.
