JogTunes App: A Fast Way to Get Up and Running to BPM Songs

The JogTunes app is the first app for the iPhone to provide readily accessible, BPM vocal and instrumental music to run to.

Austin, TX, November 15, 2011 --( Runners who like to match their pace to their music can spend hours finding good music with the right beats-per-minute (BPM), preparing playlists, and uploading them to their devices. Running music podcasts, offered on iTunes and other directories, eliminate this work but involve subscribing, syncing, and searching for episodes to run to. The new JogTunes app from The JogTunes Group also presents podcasts featuring BPM music to run to, but eliminates most of the effort required to access them.

The JogTunes Indie podcast, produced by The JogTunes group, provides the episodes for the JogTunes app. Each show presents 30 to 45 minutes of fine vocal and instrumental music, sequenced by BPM for warming up, working out, and cooling down. Bob Marcus, the show's host, adds his informative commentary. "Our show is popular because it's great music in prepackaged workout music sessions," said Marcus, who is also the company's CEO. "To have it easily accessible as a mobile device app is just icing on the cake. There are 74 episodes that feature running songs of many genres as well as social networking. Another show is added each month."

About the JogTunes Group
The JogTunes Group LLC produces and The JogTunes Indie podcast. Bob Marcus, the founder and CEO, developed after he began to experience the motivating power of running exactly to the tempo of his music. Preferring original vocal and instrumental music over synthesized running music tracks, he determined the BPMs of the music and created playlists for his runs. This led to the development of the website, which has been offering lists of BPM-rated label and indie music for over 7 years. The podcast followed and the company now celebrates the fifth anniversary of the show with the release of its first app.
