Go-Ped ESR-1000H EX Hoverboard

South Pasadena, CA, November 15, 2011 --( is pleased to announce the addition of the top-of-the-line, full suspension Go-Ped ESR-1000H EX Hoverboard electric scooter to its inventory of high end transportation products. Over the past few years, Go-Ped performed extensive research on LiFePo4 (Lithium Phosphate Polymer) battery packs and came up with a new system that is both high performance and low cost. The new battery technology allows Go-Ped (aka Patmont Motor Werks / PMW) to push the ESR series to new limits. The ESR-1000 H EX is, by far, the most capable electric scooter they offer.

Take this state of the art battery solution and pair it with the most advanced stand-up scooter suspension system on the market and a scooter enthusiast discovers the new Go-Ped ESR-1000H EX, extended range, full suspension, Lithium Phosphate Polymer powered electric scooter. The C.I.D.L.I suspension has been available on the Hoverboard series for several years, but now a rider can take it much farther in between charges with the extended range benefit of the LiFePo4 batteries.

Before the LiFePo4's found in the Go-Ped ESR-1000H EX, there were Lithium Ion and low-tech Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) batteries. SLA batteries are large, heavy and not very efficient. They are liquid filled, like the batteries found in a motorcycle or car. They only take 200 or so charge cycles before needing replacement. Lithium Ion Technology was the next step forward. Li-Ion 's are lightweight, small and very efficient. The drawback to this technology is cost of manufacturing. They are very expensive to make. In an effort to bring high performance batteries to market at a lower cost, Go-Ped moved forward with research into a LiFePo4 system. Their effort paid off. The new LiFePo4's nearly match the performance characteristics of the more expensive Li-Ion systems at a cost of only a little more than the SLA powered models.
