)-- As you may remember The Cable Lady started her business with one idea in mind; To teach people how to use their VCR’s… and to stop their VCR clocks from flashing 12:00. The Cable Lady was a pioneer in consumer education and also the first woman board member of CEDIA (Custom Electronics and Design Association) As a staunch advocate for consumer education, she traveled between New York and Washington, DC to work out strategies on how CEDIA should have manufacturers better showcase their products. The first two years she walked the convention floor sharing consumer input from her clients with manufacturers. Manufacturers took this input back to their respective engineering departments… and the rest is history. The Cable Lady then jumped from behind the TV set to being in front of it as she formed a video production company that made it first forays into broadcasting by taping ‘Consumer Electronic Show’ events. Interviewed by CNBC and national magazines, The Cable Lady continues to stay ahead of the curve with today’s marketing trends.
Poised to repeat her success, she stated in a recent interview; “By teaming with Entrepreneurial Spirit® and The Business Television Network™, who believe that ‘Education is Power’, and ‘Working Together is Powerful’. I see our relationship as the perfect vehicle to bring national attention to many deserving and dynamic businesses that are ready to reach the next level of success!” When asked what the format her new venture entailed, she replied; “As host of a new business television program my job is connect business with consumers, we’re bringing a fresh approach and look to businesses who want to get the word out about their products and services.” She went on to say: “Our programs represent the dynamic nature of American Business. ‘The Cable Lady® Connection always has the consumer in mind… Business needs to connect to their potential clients and not have people hunt for them. As a consumer advocate I feel it is important for consumers to get a look at how products benefit them and see the companies that they are considering doing business with. Personally I’m excited…we’re excited, by this lineup! I’m building connections for business and I’m making a difference!”
Presently in pre-production, ‘The Cable Lady® Connection.’ will air regionally in the Greater Delaware Valley and the ‘BTN’ team is currently in negotiations for national distribution. Business now has a new and dynamic way to get the word out and get the name recognition that they are seeking!
