Taekwon-Do 101 a New and Innovative Program Designed Exclusively for Home Schoolers

Centennial Taekwon-Do is pioneering a powerful new program designed for home schoolers that includes both a physical work out and academic study. This is no ordinary PE class.

Denver, CO, November 21, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Centennial Taekwon-Do has a significant number of Home Schooled students and is now pioneering a great new program that can empower students.

Taekwon-Do 101 is an exciting course specifically designed for Home Schoolers. This class combines the dynamic energy of a rigorous physical workout, practical application for self defense and academic study. The benefits of Taekwon-Do training include better physical condition, balance, flexibility, mental focus, improved self confidence and positive character development. This is Not a simple PE course.

Taekwon-Do is a modern martial art initially created for the South Korean Army by General Choi Hong Hi. Since its creation in the mid 20th Century, Taekwon-Do has spread globally to become the most popular of all martial arts including its acceptance as an Olympic sport.

In this course, students will be taught the technical aspects of traditional and authentic Taekwon-Do techniques which are based on both physiology and physics. There will be an exploraton of world events; such as the Japanese occupation of Korea, World War II and the division of the Korean peninsula that molded the philosophy of Taekwon-Do Moral Culture including its tenets of; Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self Control and Indomitable Spirit along with Etiquette and Public Service. There will be in depth and robust discussions on this philosophy including how it applies in the personal lives and values of each student and how it can improve the character of each individual who trains in Taekwon-Do.

The semester consists of 10 private classes, each class will last approximately 90 minutes; 60-70 minutes dedicated to physical training and 20-30 minutes devoted to discussion. Home School students must also attend at least 5 additional regular evening Taekwon-Do classes to complete the course. This is a beginners course and is open only to Home Schoolers, boys and girls ages 10 - 16.
