Walter Weissman Westbeth Gallery Exhibition

New York, NY, November 21, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The artist Walter Weissman will be exhibiting two of his drawings from his "Schematic-Schema" series at Westbeth Gallery.

These drawings are composed of various elements of his sculptures that are grounded on the page yet float and dance around compositionally with a sense of gravity, buoyancy and humor.

With the push and pull of negative/positive space, cubic metaphor, rendering and flat space these recent drawings have evolved from the artist's early sketchbooks of the 1970's.These works reflect the artist's concern with the act of drawing itself and also as a vehicle for his three-dimensional work so that each form and medium informs the other.
