Bayshore Home Health and The Haze FM Launch “Here’s to Your Health” Online Radio Show

Mississauga, Canada, November 24, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Bayshore Home Health, Canada’s largest provider of home and community health care services, is partnering with The Haze FM to deliver a new online radio show across Peel Region in southwestern Ontario. Here’s to Your Health offers insight and information on a variety of health topics. It also answers health and home care questions from listeners across the region.

“Here’s to Your Health is about connecting the community to care,” says Jackie Hickey, the show’s co-host, who is also a registered nurse and community health advisor with Bayshore Home Health. “We want to help our listeners stay healthy, answer their questions about health and in-home care, and offer assistance in navigating health care services available in Peel Region.”

The show also includes a regular segment dedicated to home care presented by co-host Julie Curitti, area director of Bayshore’s Mississauga Private Services branch. Curitti will help listeners understand the many benefits of in-home care, offer suggestions on how seniors can remain independent in their own homes and identify when the time is right for home health care.

In addition, special guests will join the show to discuss specific topics such as Alzheimer’s disease, senior safety, fall prevention, fraud protection, elder abuse and more.

During the show, Hickey will respond to listener questions posted at her Caring@Home blog, as well as her Facebook and Twitter social media sites. “We want to answer people’s questions about their health, share tips and help lessen the load for the sandwich generation and family caregivers,” adds Hickey. “Our goal is to have a happy, healthy aging community that enjoys life to the fullest.”

“We partnered with Bayshore Home Health on this initiative because we believe that making health care information more accessible to our listeners is incredibly beneficial,” says Peter Whittaker, owner of The Haze FM. “We also wanted to incorporate a two-way conversation that allows people to ask questions and get answers to the topics that most concern them.”

Listeners can tune in to Here’s to Your Health every Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. beginning November 15, on The Haze FM’s music, talk and sports sister station at www.mtsr.ca.
