No. 8 in World Headlines Friday Night Fights Dec. 2 at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino

Dover, DE, November 27, 2011 --( A big night of boxing is set with ten bouts on the card in the Rollins Center arena at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino, Friday, Dec. 2. Amir “Hard Core” Mansour, ranked the No. 8 heavyweight in the world will defend his 15(11)-0 record and prestigious WBO Championship Title against Epifanio “Diamante” Mendoza, 32(28)-12-1, in the 10-round main event.

“This is a risky fight,” said Nick Tiberi, matchmaker. “Mendoza is a very crafty veteran who’s been in there with high-quality opposition. Like Mansour, Mendoza is a dangerous puncher with 28 knockouts in his 32 wins.”

“We are very happy to be the site of the continuing rise of Amir Mansour through the heavyweight ranks,” said Ed Sutor, CEO of Dover Downs Hotel & Casino. “It should be a great fight and a fantastic night of boxing.”
