Lessons Learned from Life: Don't You Quit School Published by Outskirts Press

Outskirts Press announces the latest highly anticipated education administration book from Winston-Salem, NC author, Lawrence W. Moore.

Winston-Salem, NC, November 28, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Outskirts Press, Inc. has published Don't You Quit School: Life is Not a Rehearsal by Lawrence W. Moore. The author's most recent book to date is a 6 x 9 paperback in the education administration category and is available worldwide on book retailer websites such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble. The webpage at www.outskirtspress.com/dontyouquitschool was launched simultaneously with the book's publication.

Lawrence Moore wrote this book with young readers in mind because he knew teenagers will be successful or fail depending on the decisions they make while they are in high school. This is the time when most will make up their minds what they want to do with their lives.

Moore writes, “Be for real and don’t let someone else decide what you are going to do with your time or energy. Make the most of your life cause you only go around once. There are no rehearsals.”

When Moore was growing up, segregation, overt racism, and extreme poverty were very much alive in America. As a person of color, particularly African American (referred to then as Colored or Negro), he went to a one-room school building with a pot belly stove in the middle of the room. He would never take off his jacket in the winter because he really never could get warm. They were tough times.

But he still managed to concentrate and listen to the teacher, because he wanted so desperately to learn. He never allowed the circumstances to interfere with his desire to get my education. The books and the school supplies were limited, not in the best condition, but it did not matter to him. He read what he could and managed with what he was given.

26 pages in length, Don't You Quit School: Life is Not a Rehearsal is being aggressively promoted to appropriate markets with a focus on the education administration category. With U.S. wholesale distribution through Ingram and Baker & Taylor, and pervasive online availability through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and elsewhere, Don't You Quit School meets consumer demand through both retail and library markets with a suggested retail price of $8.95.
