McLean, VA, December 03, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Suits and Spooks 2: Shaping a Revolution in Security Affairs.

“We have to change the way that we secure our systems.” –General Keith Alexander, Director of the N.S.A. and U.S. Cyber Command.

The next edition of the Suits and Spooks Anti-conference - Suits and Spooks 2: Shaping a Revolution in Security Affairs - will draw together a diverse set of innovators and disruptive thinkers in Washington, D.C. on February 8, 2012 at the Waterview Conference Center, to tackle the problem of an information security system in free-fall. As cyber attacks increase in quantity and complexity, many organizations face mounting financial and strategic risks as a direct consequence of their dependence upon an outdated and flawed information security model. As a result, both public and private organizations are under constant threat of being targeted by cyber attackers and losing vitally sensitive information.

Unlike the traditional conference, Suits and Spooks is an anti-conference, where each attendee will have the opportunity to contribute and interact with fellow attendees and speakers. To see more detail on how the conference will run, visit Actress, Banker, Soldier, Spy: Announcing Suits and Spooks II at Jeffrey Carr’s Digital Dao blog at jeffreycarr.blogspot.com.

What is Suits and Spooks?
Suits and Spooks is the creation of Jeffrey Carr, author of Inside Cyber Warfare, and founder and CEO of Taia Global, Inc. – an executive cyber protective services company. This unique conference is a participant centric event focused upon driving innovative ideas and fostering greater collaboration, while working to re-shape information security. The first Suits and Spooks Anti-conference was an invitation only event, which featured a unique one-day Red Team / Blue Team exercise, where the future landscape of social networks was explored, attacked, and defended through the insights of a panel of experts, sponsors, and attendees. Suits and Spooks 2 is an open admission event centered around problem-solving through the application of insights gleaned from a variety of disciplines on how to find a cybersecurity model that works.

What will attendees take away from the event?
Attendees and speakers will participate in a day of problem-solving in an intimate, private conference room setting overlooking the Potomac River. The collaboration between speakers and fellow attendees will produce new thinking on how we can re-shape information security.

What experts are going to be speaking at Suits and Spooks 2?
Suits and Spooks 2 will feature an array of experts from multiple disciplines including Janina Gavankar, an actress who stars in H.B.O.’s True Blood and has developed an interactive technology platform for actors through Posterous Spaces. Daniel E. Geer, Sc.D., Entrepreneur and Chief Information Security Officer at In-Q-Tel, the investment arm of the U.S. Intelligence Community.
