Vadehra Art Gallery Presents Yoko Ono in India - January 13 to March 10, 2012

Titled OUR BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTERS, this is the legendary artist's first exhibition in India and also includes a performance and a series of public art projects.

Delhi, India, December 05, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Audiences in Delhi will experience the best of avant-garde international art as Vadehra Art Gallery features, for the first time in India, the work of the legendary Yoko Ono. While many may recognise Ono as the wife of John Lennon of the Beatles, her role as an avant-garde artist, musician and filmmaker, connected to the internationally active Fluxus movement of the sixties, is of even greater significance to the art world.

Vadehra Art Gallery is committed to showcasing the best of international art in India and has held exhibitions of artists Pablo Picasso, Francis Bacon, Lucian Freud and Bernd and Hilla Becher in the past. In January 2012 the Gallery will showcase the work of the iconic conceptual artist Yoko Ono. Titled OUR BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTERS the exhibition will be spread across multiple gallery venues, will include interventions in public spaces in the city and a much anticipated performance by the artist herself.
