BenQ Joybee GP2 Video Contest Offers Exposure, Cash Prizes for Tech and Entertainment Influencers


Creative Videos, Blogging, and Fan Engagement Can Win Cash Prizes Up to $1,500

Irvine, CA, December 09, 2011 --(PR.com)-- BenQ America Corp. today announced the BenQ Joybee GP2 Video Contest, which gives influencers, bloggers, and vloggers (“agents”) in the technology and entertainment field the chance to win weekly prizes worth $150 and grand prizes worth $1,500 while enhancing their exposure and SEO. By creating fun and informative social content about their experience with the newest BenQ mini projector, participants accepted to the contest earn multiple chances to win — and they get to keep the GP2 Projector ($699+ in value).

The palm-sized BenQ Joybee GP2 features an elegant black and white housing, an intuitive user interface, 720p HD-ready video capability, short-throw projection, an integrated iPhone®/iPod® dock, an optional three-hour battery pack, and a multitude of connectivity options. Based on high-efficiency 3LED illumination and DLP® projection technology, the projector boasts simple plug-and-play operation and 200 ANSI lumen brightness that allows users to share HD-quality presentations, videos, photos, and games on a brilliant 160-inch cinematic display.

During the five-week contest, participants will create at least two videos and one blog post about the GP2 Projector. Like commercials, they can be as short as 30 seconds, but they may run for any length. Likewise, blog posts do not need to be lengthy. Rather than serve as a full-fledged review, they may focus on a distinguishing feature or function of the projector with a link back to the GP2 Projector product page.

Prizes will be determined by popularity and social media activity, and they will be awarded to one winner weekly. At the conclusion of the contest, the $1,500 grand prize winners will be selected in three categories. Additional prizes will be given for engaging fans via social media. For example, the follower that first posts a video idea on the BenQ Facebook wall will win the same prize as the video creator if that particular video earns a prize.
