Republican Executive Committee Member Calls for Resignations of All Politicians, Including GOP, That Voted to Approve S. 1867, the National Defense Authorization Act

Tucson, AZ, December 10, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Jeffrey Bales, a Member-at-Large of the Pima County GOP Executive Committee in Senator John McCain’s district (Tucson, Arizona), says:

“Our duty as United States citizens is to take a stand for our Constitutional rights. That duty takes precedent over any political activities. We must fight to protect our rights from tyranny at home. The recently passed National Defense Authorization Act (S. 1867), as authored by Senators Levin (D) and McCain (R), subverts the United States Constitution, violating due process and habeas corpus. Upon becoming law, any US citizen can be detained indefinitely simply by being declared a threat.

“Due to their attempts to subvert the Constitution of the United States of America, an act of treason, I call upon all politicians that voted for approval of S. 1867 to resign immediately.”
