)-- SELMARQ, Brands’ Best Friend,SM received more gold awards than any other competitor at this year’s ProAd competition sponsored by the Business Marketing Association (BMA) of the Carolinas. The five awards represented nearly 30 percent of the gold citations presented at the annual marketing competition open to any firm in the Carolinas engaged in business-to-business (B2B) marketing.
Three of the gold trophies were earned for work on the Sonotube® concrete forms new product launch executed for Sonoco of Hartsville, SC. The company reportedly gained an additional ten percent of the market share within six months following the product launch earlier this year. SELMARQ created a special feature logo, new product packaging, tagline for three cultures, trade show exhibit, direct mail and other marketing collateral for the campaign.
The agency was awarded an additional gold honor, judged “Best of North Carolina,” for a communications program created for the Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA). SELMARQ earned another gold for a branding program they designed for their own firm. The agency also received silver awards at the ceremony for direct mail programs executed for MHIA and Creative Camera.
SELMARQ SM president Jeff Rothe credited the agency’s 22 years of B2B experience for the outstanding showing. “This creative team has been working together for over a decade,” Rothe noted. “They have solved scores of business marketing challenges for a wide variety of firms. I’m happy to see their efforts rewarded in such a big way.” Walter Stanford, Michele Clark and Malia Kline handled the creative work.
