SFL’s Public Affairs Now Covers Bioethics

SFL’s Public Affairs team, helping organizations shape EU rules, saw exciting expansion in 2011.

Basel, Switzerland, December 11, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Nathalie Ladani joined the SFL team as Public Affairs Manager to support clients on bioethics; an area of growing public interest and importance for the research-intense biotech industry.

“SFL Public Affairs continued in 2011 to provide EU political intelligence and lobbying strategy to its international clients,” said Anna Hallersten, Director of Public Aff airs. “Through our membership of Brussels-based EuropaBio, the biotechnology industry association, SFL stays abreast of the very latest political developments and linked into the heart of EU law-making.”

Dr. Ladani received her MD from the Medical University of Vienna, and is currently working towards a degree in Law at the University of Vienna, Austria. She gained public affairs experience through an internship with a major multinational pharmaceutical company in Basel, Switzerland. During this time, she developed her expertise in EU and Swiss law and policy making processes, as well as her understanding of the roles of European Union institutions. Through her regular interaction with stakeholders from academia, industry associations and patient groups, she also gained insight into the different perspectives on current health policy topics such as information to patients, animal welfare and clinical trials.
