Rising Designer Presents a Fresh Look at Modern Style

Lake Success, NY, May 03, 2007 --(PR.com)-- When Laura Su created Prismera Design in 2006, the company was a side project, a way to get her jewelry designs out to an audience. Since then, it has blossomed into her fulltime passion. In January of this year, Su began to reinvent Prismera Design, focusing on more sophisticated pieces, organic forms, and unique metals.

The collection that’s on her mind these days is the Flora & Folium collection, a series of botanical silhouettes created with recycled stainless steel. This contemporary twist on natural themes represents an “exciting turning point,” says Su. “There is just so much to be inspired by in this world.” And using that inspiration, she gets to work; using unique combinations like copper and steel or gold and oxidized sterling silver.

It’s that kind of experimental and exuberant nature that sets Prismera Design apart. Su constantly reinvents herself with each fresh new collection. From handpicked sparkling gems to slices of precious metal, each grouping is vibrant with creative energy. The online shop Su maintains is a treasure trove of eclectic style and is updated often with her latest work. Since the start of 2007, she has launched three new collections, with another on the way.

For the past year, Prismera Design has been steadily gaining recognition here at home and abroad. Her work is sold at retail locations in New York and in the UK, and has been featured in Audrey Magazine. Last year she was chosen to participate at the MTV Style Lounge, a juried selection of independent designers’ work distributed to celebrities and members of the press.
