David H. Lockwood Files for His Candidacy for Congress in the 2012 Elections

Maryland’s 3rd Congressional District has a new Democratic candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives.

Silver Spring, MD, December 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Maryland’s 3rd Congressional District has a new Democratic candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives. Today, Silver Spring resident David H. Lockwood filed for his candidacy for Congress in the 2012 elections.

Lockwood, a consultant under contract with the Internal Revenue Service, has developed a Progressive Self-Adjusting Flat Tax Plan, which is a unique proposal which he says will reduce the $3.7 Trillion dollar federal budget, and spread more fairly the tax burden Americans currently face.

Upon announcing his candidacy, Mr. Lockwood said, “I wanted to stand up and be counted as an American willing to represent my District, State and Country...to show Congress and the American people that there are viable alternatives to the current tax codes, while also paying off the national debt.” Lockwood added, “I am the father of five children. Because I love them dearly, to me it is absolutely immoral for us to pass the cost of our continuing deficits to our children and grandchildren.”

Lockwood, 59, is a Democrat and long-time resident of Silver Spring. He has raised 2.5 Eagle Boy Scouts, has an actress daughter in Los Angeles, and a second daughter in PhD studies at CalTech. His wife, Deja, is a licensed Nurse.
