On both itineraries guests visit award-wining wineries and are invited to official wine tastings. There is also the option to visit boutique wineries that may not yet have extensive distribution in the US. The tour visits wineries in the Colchagua Valley region that Wine Enthusiast named “Wine Region of the Year” for 2005 due to its world-class red wines.

Visits include Viña Casa Silva http://casasilva.cl/ that holds international awards, mostly in the 2000 – 2005 vintages; Viña Neyen: www.neyen.cl – http://www.neyen.cl/press.html; Las Majadas Estate, home to Bisquertt Vineyards and an overnight stay http://www.bisquertt.cl/ingles/noticias.php; Viña Gillmore (guests lodge here on the last night of the 11-day tour and can enjoy a wine spa with wine therapies) that for five years has garnered high points from Wine Spectator http://www.gillmore.cl/ and http://www.tabonko.cl/eng/spa.html; and a visit to a corporate winery Viña Miguel Torres as a contrast to boutique and family-owned vineyards.
