Deerfield Beach, FL, December 21, 2011 --( Festival of Films - a new site offering free new movies online at - has released its schedule for the week of Dec. 18, 2010. Festival of Films provides piracy-free features, documentaries, and short films online optimized for web and mobile viewing.

Starting out the week, Festival of Films added to its collection of new free movies online on Sunday with "Framed," a 2009 film depicting an art heist gone awry in the Welsh countryside. "Framed" stars Trevor Eve ("Troy," "David Copperfield") as a curator of London's National Gallery who encounters an ensemble of quirky small town inhabitants. Recently aired on the PBS "Masterpiece" series, "Framed" was based on Frank Cottrell Boyce's bestselling novel of the same name.

For viewers interested in discovering free documentaries online, Festival of Films featured Dutch filmmaker IJsbrand van Veelen's "The Truth According to Wikipedia" (2008) on Monday, Dec. 19. A controversial film clocking in at under 50 minutes, "Wikipedia" offers pro- and anti-Wiki perspectives from the Wikipedia co-founders, Web 2.0 experts, a former Britannica editor, and Andrew Keen, whose book "The Culture of the Amateur" argued against the Wikipedia format.

Wednesday and Saturday will see the additions of two animated short films online. First, Festival of Films will debut "The Boy and the Tree" (2009), a poignant, magical story of a child and a tree weathering Christmas in a dreary, urban environment. Next, Saturday's animation "Wing It" is an eight-minute short following an overzealous inventor trying to discover the secret of flight - with the help of some well-intentioned aliens. "Wing It" was produced by graduate students of Cape Town, South Africa's Animation School.

Thursday, Dec. 22 will see a quartet of timely movie clips and trailers at Festival of Films to complement the site's selection of free new movies online. The site will introduce trailers from "Tinker Tailor Solder Spy," which is currently in theaters, and the upcoming war drama "War Horse." For even more information on "Tinker Tailor," based on the novel by ex-spy John le Carre, Festival of Films will provide a secondary "Anatomy of a Scene" clip narrated by director Tomas Alfredson. In the holiday spirit, Festival of Films will round out its clip selection with a segment from the 1938 classic "A Christmas Carol."

Cinephiles looking forward to "War Horse" will enjoy Friday's lineup, which features a pair of horse-themed documentaries: "Horse and Rider" and "Cloud: Challenge of the Stallions," both multipart features from PBS. After visitors watch documentaries online, they can end on a drama with "The Black Stallion Returns" (1983), which will also debut on Festival of Films on Friday.
