RIVET New Year's Tip: Pace Yourself, Don't Erase Yourself

New York, NY, December 22, 2011 --(PR.com)-- RIVET, a fully integrated advertising and marketing agency, has a message for their fellow New Yorkers as they head out for their New Year celebrations:
Excessive drinking is dangerous. So stop drinking while you’re still thinking.

If it feels like you’ve read that message somewhere before, you probably ride the subway (or have very sensible parents.) Following last year’s successful rollout of the “Excessive Drinking is Dangerous” campaign, RIVET and its client, the New York City Department of Health, developed phase 2 just in time for the 2011 Holiday Season. The new ad, seen throughout the New York City transit system, features a young man strapped to a gurney, heading for an ambulance, under the headline “Two drinks ago this wasn’t your ride.”

“Excessive drinking leads to injury or death for thousands of New Yorkers a year,” said RIVET Managing Director, Andrew Zuckert. “During this holiday season we want to remind our friends and colleagues that you’ll have a much happier New Year if your ride home from the party doesn’t come with its own siren.”
