)-- Focus Business Management Institute, the industry leader in retail jewelry consulting, today announced that Jim Matero has joined Focus as a Business Consultant. Matero has owned and operated Jaymark Jewelers in Cold Springs NY for the past 30 years. Matero will be turning the day-to-day operations of his retail jewelry store over to his daughter.
“About nine year ago I started working with Focus to help me get my store’s inventory, financials and profitability straightened out. The operational philosophies and changes that they had me implement in my store made a dramatic difference,” says Matero. “They consulted with me and gave me details about my store that I didn’t even know. By working with Focus I was able to make my store highly successful, so now, as a business consultant for Focus, I’m looking forward to helping other jewelers achieve the same level of success.”
“We are excited to have Jim come work with us,” says Mike Derby, Operations Manager of Focus. “Jim is proof that implementing the Focus philosophies can be very effective and profitable. He has lived and breathed the philosophies that we teach and he knows first-hand how they can truly change a store owner’s life. His experience will be a great advantage when helping our clients with their stores.”
Derby continued, “Jim’s understanding of the Focus reports will be invaluable in successfully helping our clients understand their stores better. Jim’s experience in all aspects of a jewelry store from the bench to selling large diamond jewelry will be an asset to our Focus clients. We are excited to have someone of Jim’s caliber joining us.”
