“Our users have told us some states and Broker Dealers are requiring that they keep a copy of their data backup on their local system,” says Shannon Dempsey, Vice President of Sales. “CMS is already backing up every database each night at the data center and maintains 14 days of backups, however users have told us for their own peace of mind they want a copy of their backup that they control.”
With the new Advisors Assistant® “Weekly Downloadable Backup" feature, customers can now download a compressed, encrypted backup of their individual database every week, right to their local computer. “Users even get a weekly email reminder that their backup is ready for them. Then it’s just a matter of the system administrator selecting “Retrieve Backup” from the Admin Menu,” adds Dempsey.
Client Marketing System’s “Weekly Downloadable Backup” is all possible because Advisors Assistant® uses Microsoft’s .NET and SQL Server technology which enables it to run either web hosted, on a local network, or even a single computer.
