The Tourette Connection and the Chicago Community Group (affiliates of Tourette Syndrome Association of Illinois) are pleased to have special guest speaker, Dr. Shana Doronn at the Jan 11 Community Group meeting located at B'nai Jehoshua Beth Elohim, 1201 Lake Cook Road, Deerfield, IL at 7:00 pm. Dr. Shana is one of the featured psychologists on A&E's true-life docuseries "Obsessed." She specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders, OCD, TS, and others. The Tourette Connection and the Chicago Community Group are Tourette Syndrome Association of Illinois (TSA-IL) affiliated meet-up groups for anyone whose life is affected by Tourette Syndrome (TS); self, spouse, partner, child, sibling, teacher, health professional, etc.

January's meet-up group will feature, Dr. Shana Doronn, LCSW, Psy.D. You may already be familiar with Dr. Shana's work on A&E's true-life docuseries "Obsessed" where she is one of the featured psychologists.

Dr. Shana specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders such as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and social anxiety disorder, as well as chronic illnesses. She serves on the Board of Directors for OCD Chicago and currently practices in Barrington, IL.

If you have or care for someone with Tourette Syndrome, OCD, anxiety, or panic attacks, you won't want to miss this rare opportunity to have an intimate discussion with expert Dr. Shana. Bring your questions, she will answer as many as time will allow.

Children are welcome to attend...supervision, activities and snacks will be provided. To ensure ample space, supervision and snacks, please RSVP to one of the leaders and include the ages of anyone under 18.

The Tourette Syndrome Association of Illinois (TSA-IL) was founded in 1976. We have served and supported those whose lives are affected by Tourette Syndrome by providing invaluable resources, compassion, friendship, education and events.

Our mission is to serve and support those whose lives are affected by Tourette Syndrome. TSA-IL promotes awareness, advocates, and educates the public, health care providers, and educators about Tourette Syndrome. TSA-IL supports medical and scientific research about Tourette Syndrome. We strive to educate, promote acceptance, confidence and a place to share with others about your journey with Tourette Syndrome and more importantly to realize you are not alone!

The Tourette Connection Group meets the 2nd Wednesday each month at B'nai Jehoshua Beth Elohim (BJBE), 1201 Lake Cook Road, Deerfield, IL 60015 from 7:00 pm - 8:45 pm.
